Corn cobs
Product characteristics
Corn cobs are hard, low density, natural abrasive. Blasting grains are produced from crushed, cleaned and sifted corn cobs. Corn cobs belong to reusable abrasives and feature low impact on the air-blasted surface without damaging underlying material. Corn cob abrasives are 100% natural product and they are free of respirable crystalline silica SiO2.
Corn cobs are used in gentle abrasive blasting and polishing aluminium, jewellery, fittings, electric motors, plastic and stainless steel. Corn cob abrasive is suitable for stripping, deburring or cleaning of light metals like brass, aluminum and others, brick, wood, plastic, cleaning of fire and smoke damage, cleaning of wooden houses before painting, removal of graffiti from wood, stone or brick.
