Olive pits are a hard and lightweight abrasive of natural origin. The abrasive grains are made from crushed, cleaned, and sieved olive pits. It is a reusable abrasive. Due to its minimal impact on the treated surface, the use of olive pits protects the substrate from damage and deformation. Moreover, they are 100% natural and do not contain free, crystalline, chemically free silica (SiO₂). Olive pits are GMO-free, allergen-free, and biodegradable.
Olive pits are used for gentle air-blasting and polishing of aluminum, non-ferrous metals, jewelry, fittings, electric motors, plastics, wood restoration, and ceramics. They are used to remove surface layers of varnishes and paints. Olive pits are also an additive in abrasive and polishing pastes.
Olive pits are used in the cosmetic industry as a gentle exfoliating additive and pigment carrier. Ground olive pits are ideal for the production of soaps, gels, and body creams; they act as thickening agents, providing a creamy and smooth texture as well as a fresh and pleasant aroma. Olive pits are a sustainable alternative to harmful microplastics.
Olive pits are also used in the production of bio-resins — natural resins created to minimize the presence of synthetic products in construction and to reduce environmental impact.
