White fused alumina

Product characteristics

White fused alumina, also known as white electrocorundum, is an abrasive material produced mineralally while fusing alumina in an electric arc furnace. White fused alumina is an abrasive material with the highest purity among materials based on alumina Al2O3. In comparison with brown fused alumina, it is more homogenous in terms of chemical composition, structure and properties. It is ecologically clean and very hard, resistant to aggressive chemical agents. White fused alumina is free of respirable crystalline silica (SiO2).

White fused alumina is an essential component used in production of noble high-alumina refractory and ceramic materials, bonded abrasives (grinding wheels) and coated abrasives (sandpaper), floor panels with better abrasion resistance class. White fused alumina is reusable in compressed air blasting. It is very pure and extremely hard. Aluminium oxide is used to anchor pattern creation prior to coating or bonding, rust, scale removal, sweeping, matte surface finish of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, glass, stone and other surfaces. It is used for glass polishing, and as an abrasive in prosthodontics, dentistry, aesthetic medicine: dermabrasion.
